Support Our Mission

Ever-mindful of the needs of the times, the Ursuline Sisters of the Central Province are engaged in ministries where we can best serve God’s people to create a better world. When you support the Ursulines with a financial gift, you are making an immediate, positive impact on our ability to pursue these ministries.

We invite you to share in the Ursuline mission and are deeply grateful for prayers and shared service as well as your financial contributions.

Our Focus

We are actively committed to the following areas of service:

  • Educating at every level

  • Guiding those seeking spiritual direction

  • Providing shelter and social services for homeless men and women

  • Working to prevent and heal victims of human trafficking

  • Serving immigrants through Catholic and other social service agencies

  • Working for justice, peace and the integrity of creation

  • Caring for the elderly and infirm

  • Sharing skills and talents as writers, artists and musicians with others

  • Giving compassionate care for retired Ursulines who, after a lifetime in service, serve in a ministry of prayer

Ways to Give

You can make an unrestricted gift, which will be used where most needed, or designate that it be used for the care of retired sisters or for a specific ministry.

A bequest allows you to make a gift while retaining your assets during your lifetime, and can eliminate or reduce federal estate taxes.

If you choose to make a gift of appreciated securities (stocks, bonds and mutual funds) they are deductible at fair market value on the day they are transferred to the Ursulines.

You can donate your property but continue to live there.

Naming the Ursuline Sisters as a beneficiary on an existing, paid-up life insurance policy, your retirement plan, or insurance annuity assets are other ways to show your support.

Consider making monthly gifts. We can send you 12 envelopes each year for your convenient gift giving. You may also wish to pledge a gift and arrange to be billed on a quarterly or biannual basis.

If your employer has a matching gift program, and gifts to religious organizations are eligible, you may be able to double and sometimes triple your donation to the Ursulines.

Another caring way to support the Ursulines is to give a gift in memory or in honor of a relative, friend, colleague, favorite teacher, mentor or classmate. A gift celebrating an anniversary, birthday, or other milestone in someone’s life is also a thoughtful way to give. When you give in someone’s honor, we inform that person of your thoughtfulness. When you make a memorial gift, we notify the family of your compassion and support during their time of sorrow.
