Sr. Peggy Stovall, OSU

Sister Peggy Stovall, OSU, died Dec. 4, 2020, at Valley View Health and Rehabilitation in Moberly, Missouri.

She was born Aug. 13, 1937, in Raymondville, Texas, to Doc Collins and Eva Sharkey Stovall. She entered the Ursuline Sisters in 1977 and professed her vows in 1980. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Rosary College in River Forest, Illinois, and a master’s degree in administration from the University of Notre Dame.

Sister Peggy served as a business manager and accountant in schools and parishes in Illinois and Texas. She was the business manager for Marquette High School in Alton, Illinois, from 1984-91. She also served as treasurer for many local Ursuline communities throughout the Central Province.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Jack, Ray, Ralph and Doc Collins Stovall, Jr.; and sisters Eva Jane Casey, Betty June Stovall and Mary Ann Williams. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.

A prayer service will be held at 11 a.m. on Dec. 11 at St. Peter Cemetery in Kirkwood, Missouri.
