Sharing Our Mission

Returning to St. Angela Merici and her first Company for inspiration and direction, Central Province Ursulines have entered new fields when the needs of God’s people have called them. In Minnesota, a sister volunteers in a foster grandparent program in a state correctional facility. On the south Texas border, another sister has launched a “Living Life with Dignity” program to address family health care needs in a colonia in Mexico. Following Angela’s example, Ursulines seek to be agents of peace through justice, both locally and globally.

Central Province Ursulines are taking bold steps to keep alive the spirit of St. Angela Merici. They are collaborating with other U.S. Ursuline provinces in establishing a new novitiate site in the Chicago area. They have developed marketing initiatives to contact prospective candidates. They have a strategic plan in place to capture new vision, renewed faithfulness, and passion for the reign of God.
